WHY THIS COURSE?
Many actors feel a loss of power and a sense of frustration when it comes to managing their careers. This is because there is so much emphasis on the "craft" of acting that actors rarely get to focus on what it takes to actually get in the door. Plus, actors have been led to believe that people are just “born" with business sense or they aren't, and many actors are afraid to admit that the business-side completely eludes them.
So, if we aren't "just born" with these skills, and acting schools aren't teaching them (and, trust me, they aren't) - what are actors to do? The good news? As actors, we are actually much more in control then we think we are. Because... ‘BUSINESS SENSE' IS LEARNED.

Your Instructor
Erin Cronican has been coaching on the business of acting since 2002. She is a professional actor (AEA/SAG-AFTRA) with over 20 years of experience performing in film, TV, musicals and theater in NYC, LA, and regionally. She is currently appearing Off Broadway in the musical “This One’s For The Girls”, and originated the role of Cindy in the national tour revival of “Suds, The Rockin’ 60s Musical Soap Opera." She is the Executive Artistic Director of The Seeing Place Theater, which has been producing critically acclaimed theater in NYC since 2009. And she absolutely loves being a coach for actors.
Prior to her role as a coach, Erin worked for a national theater publication as the director of East Coast marketing, and was the communications director for an arts non-profit before making her move from California to New York City in 2005. She uses her many years of experience in the corporate and non-profits worlds blended with her lifelong experience as an actor/producer to help other actors find the structure and mindset to be a successful working actor.
